Stop And Smell The Roses

And that was what I exactly did this morning as I walked on the pebble path leading to my office. It's something that I have not done for ages. I just can't remember the last time I touched a full bloom rose still wet with the morning dew. I even plucked one of them, and amazingly it lifts up my spirit this morning, I've been grumpy when Uzey woke me up :-)

Ironically that's how life works. We are too busy with too many things that we sometimes tend to overlook the little things in life. In my case, being too occupied with work though I'm supposed to be happy I have only 3 more days before I start my long leave. Yes, THREE!! I should be celebrating the fact that I do not have to be in the office for 60+ days!!! Hahahahaha now I'm happy :p

And baby is due in 14 days (or less). I hope he will come out few days earlier as I look like I'm about to pop out any moment now.

Ilham, on the other hand, is busy playing big brother to his li'l teddy bear. I hope when the new baby comes along he treats his brother as nice as he treats his bear. Though I've seen him making the bear fly like an aeroplane. He sniffs his bear's bottom and mentioned something about diaper change, he asks whether his bear wants to eat or sleep and last nite he makes the bear sit and he read him a story book.

He is also busy being curious, he wants to know everything, every colour, every movement, everything that we talk about. But he still doesn't want to eat! How I wish he would eat like any other toddlers his age.

I am still fasting, it's quite a surprise for someone whose tummy growls before 8 am before the fasting month. But this time around I really force myself to wake up and eat properly for sahur, I guess that's how I survived.

I won't be blogging at home due to technical reasons so let me be the first one to wish you Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir Batin!! My hari raya will come earlier than yours this year, and the baby makes a perfect raya gift for Uzey & my parents.. and definitely for myself.

Please pray for me, I hope to have a safe, speedy delivery. Still contemplating whether I should go for epidural or not as Fazie made epidural sounds so enticing..hehehe...

Ilham Had A Haircut

Uzey took him to the barber last Saturday and that was his first 'commercial' haircut! The first one was when my dad shaved him bald 7 days after he was born.
Should have captured the look on his face when the barber trimmed his hair, Uzey was laughing at him but that nite when he recalled his experience, he told me 'Papa kata Am encem'... my boy......

of nothing and nothingness

I'm turning into an elephant. Seriously.

With Ilham, I didn't look and feel as enormous as now... I hope I can stop gaining weight during the fasting month, but I hope baby gains his weight as he should. But would that be possible? I can barely reach out to trim my toenails. I have difficulties sleeping at nite, visions of the labour room keeps coming to my mind. I am paranoid my tummy can't accommodate my baby. I hope I won't get high BP. I have so many things in my mind I guess I have to stop being paranoid. But at the same time I'm afraid of gaining weight, I'm thinking of my mom's nasi kerabu, sushi and thin crust pizza. Gila ke hape?

On a brighter side, Ilham's antics never failed to make my day. He wakes up on weekend mornings and asked 'mama nak pegi keje ke' and goes back to sleep when I said 'cuti'. He volunteers to rub my tummy and he hugs me until he asleeps almost every nite. I hope when the new baby comes along he won't be jealous of his brother.

And I still have another 7 weeks to go!!!! Sigh.. rasa macam lama gila lagi. It's not that I don't like the feeling of baby kicking in my tummy but I just wanna get it over with so I can concentrate on returning to a normal life, with new baby in tow.

CONGRATS to our expecting new mommy, you know who you are. Another addition to the clan!

And welcome back Miss Doctor! Hope you can squeeze us in your tight schedule.

Office sucks. I have not received any offer for the supposedly new post. And time is running out. I don't feel like re-skilling myself (yet) esp when at the same time I have to readjust my life with a new baby. Hope I'll receive some good news before end of September, or I'll just decline the promotion and stick to whatever post ( and $$) that I have now. Sigh...decision...decision....

Cerita Macam-Macam

Our Langkawi trip was great. We had the most relaxing vacation ever. The first day we arrived, it was raining the whole day but weather on the 2nd day was great. Woke up earlier than planned and took Ilham for a dip in the pool. The hotel was great except for the Arab$ yang terlampau ramai sangat I felt like having a vacation in M3dina instead of 'Langkawin' (Ilham's version of Langkawi) Nothing new to see I've been to the 'kedai fish' a.k.a u/water world before and the town was still as small as before. Managed to borong lots of chocolates to be distributed to the rest at home.Returned home to mama's laksa feast and I felt like a brand new whale.

But the stupid incident on 23rd of July really spoilt everything. My purse and handphone got stolen at a stupid 5 star hotel. So those of you who will be staying/ attending any workshop in Renaissance KL, please bring your belongings with you ALL THE TIME even if you just want to leave the room for 3 minutes. I've never experienced such a bad security measure taken in a 5 star hotel, definitely with a ZERO star security.

And there was Uzey's transfer news. .

If everything goes well, we will be living 'normally' again after August 15. By then I will be 32 weeks pregnant. Even now I feel really heavy, with the regular Braxton Hicks and Ilham is keeping me on my toes 24/7.

And Ilham, he has grown up a lot for for the last one month! Cakap dah tak pelat and he expresses himself really clearly now. Sometimes I think he speaks like a 4 year old toddler. He reasons with me, give me reasons, he tells me stories, he twists my stories, he pretends like he is going to school, tries to write his name on a piece of paper and always offering to give me a massage and rub my tummy. Left him with nenek for few days and nenek said he talks too much :-p

Well, life is not that bad, after all. God always make it a point to show us that there's ALWAYS blessing in disguise. So count your blessings and try (at least) to enjoy your day!

Cheers!

The Uncivilized Civilization

Have you ever noticed that the ones who give up their seats for a pregnant lady are those who look ordinary, with sneakers, iPods, carrying a knapsack and playing games on their mobile phones. And those who AVOID looking back at a pregnant ladies are those with neck ties, expensive PDAs, shiny shoes, well ironed trousers and shirt complete with cufflinks?

I think that sucks. Seriously. I ride on ERL and LRT everytime I have things to do in the HQ and every time I exeperience the same thing. I mean, hello... pakai je smart2 but sooooooo lah tak de manners. The other day, I was boarding a full coach of ERL Tran$it and a very nice lady was offering her seat to me, and I declined. You know why? Because I was hanging on to my dear life IN FRONT of a MAN who looked so Professional but kept avoiding my eyes and definitely tried very hard to avoid looking at my big bump! I almost lost my gravity when he finally offered me his seat, tu pun I guess becos we were approaching the next station, his stop.

My next trick is that, every time I see this kind of people, I will try to make facial expression like I'm about to give birth.

I'm sure that works. Don't u think so?

Ilham's Birthday Celebration

Thanks to those who came. We had so much fun, the birthday boy didn't eat anything throughout the party, too excited of having so many guests around him. Elmo cake (though the lower part was covered with saliva) was cool and the guests (esp the little ones) were even 'cooler'.

That night, Ilham spent almost 10 minutes in his buai recalling the event, every single details of it. I hope he enjoyed himself as much as we did.

The Girl Who Got Married

It was such a beautiful wedding. No protocols, no busybody makciks, no stares from people when we laughed like hyenas, no unofficial bodyguards, no rules and free access to delicious ayam masak merah! That's Enna's wedding. Simple, no-frill wedding but it was really beautiful esp the bride and the hantarans. In fact, the newly weds just returned from their honeymoon this afternoon.

No pictures of maggots together this time as everybody was busy doing their own thing. And we didn't have the heart to make them wear the boria baju melayus as the kenduri was in the afternoon and we didn't wanna take any risk of any kids attempting to roll on the grass trying to take off their sampins.

Our short reunion was great, but we miss our MacCreamy (hehe no offense Mak Ip)

Hopefully we can have a li'l get together soon when Ip comes back for the hols and, hopefully before the 3 of us burst our belly balloons..

Congrats again to the made-for-each-other newly weds. More pictures will be uploaded to flickr (God knows when)

It's (gonna be) a boy

If the doctor was correct, Ilham's getting a baby brother. There goes my hope to buy everything pink ;-)
But seriously I don't really mind, as long as he/she is healthy and perfect.

Ilham's growing up so fast. Sometimes I feel that I am unable to capture his growing pace but I just wish I could freeze the memories just by looking at him, day by day, really growing up to be an independent person, and being himself. Sometimes I thought, will I be able to love someone else as much as I love Ilham? But deep inside I know, I have so much love to share (and distribute equally) between him and the new baby.

Anyways, it's gonna be a bz week ahead. Short trip to KK and finally, Jerantut's trip for Enn's wedding. Selamat Pengantin Baru In Advance to my dearest friend who's getting married on the 26th of May 2007. God bless both of you!! All of us are looking fwd to that trip, though it's gonna be an incomplete reunion since Dr. Mak Ip is not around!

Here's to a good week (and month and year and years ahead)!!

Of Everything Else Around Us

The books that I ordered few days back have safely arrived yesterday. One of 'em is M1tch alb0m's new book, F0r 1 M0re Day, which I'm almost done with! I think those people at M*PH are doing a great job. I made the online order only 2 days before! I've had experiences with other online stores before and M*PH is the fastest, so far. Thus, I woke up early this morning, to continue reading but after few moments, I put the book down, and thought to myself, why should I be reading a book when my baby is sleeping next to me. I'd better savour every moment hugging and looking at him, as I don't get that chance everyday..

Ilham talks in his sleep. That's not new, I'm sure he inherits it from me. And I inherit it from my mom. But this morning, in his sleep, he mumbled 'shushu mama'. That really broke my heart. But again, have to be strong, if not for him , for myself and even for the baby I'm carrying.
Anyhow, we'll be in Ktn tomorrow morning to have an appointment with a specialist, just to see how is she (I hope) doing. :-)

Ilham surprises me. In a lot of ways. Sometimes I think he acts and speaks and thinks like a 3 year old toddler. And he is not even 2 yet. Last 2 days, bibik told me, Ilham grabbed his Winky bag and a book, went out, put on his slippers and said "aik bash" I mean like.. where did he get the idea that he could ride a bus, but he needs to take his bag and book along? All newly learned words will be repeated to himself before he falls asleep, like the other day when he followed Uzey to the workshop to repair his car, that nite he repeated so many times.. "car papa rocak, workCHOP" until we both fell asleep. I have always wanted him to speak fully in English but I guess it's quite impossible since everyone else here speaks Malay with him. And definitely Bibik pun cakap melayu la kan.. infact duck is now bebek to Ilham. Oh well...

Uzey will be arriving anytime now. So I should I get moving. Planned to prepare soto ayam today, got all the ingredients ready, but me being the greatest procrastinator on earth, I'll be in the kitchen in 5 mins time. Yeah 5..

Have a good weekend peeps!

Back from Hiatus

There are so many things in my mind right now, so many things to write about, but I guess I should start slow, as I have been abandoning this blog for quite a long time. I think I should blame (by order of preference)
1) Myself- for forgetting the new p/word after switching to the new version. what Version??
2) Internet connection- or lack of it (in office)
3) Pure laziness- to login at home after office hours

Ilham is now 22 months' old, banyak sangat cakap, and he likes to listen to people's talking. He can actually 'menyampuk' in the conversation in his own way. He can give me reasons, he actually give me directions and commands. Yes, commands. I can't lie down on my back while rocking his cradle. I HAVE to sit down properly, and yes, I can't even CLOSE my eyes! He will call me everytime I doze off to sleep while rocking him. Gosh. He even wakes his Nenek up everytime she started to doze off in the car if we are traveling together.

He tells me when he 'eyak'. He knows his right and left slipper, but keeps wearing 'em on the wrong side. He demands for things, and can follow instructions, buang pampers dalam dustbin, ambik spek nenek, kemas bantal etc etc. And he is finally weaned (from the breast!)

At first I thought weaning is him is the toughest thing to do, but it was not! Well, it was even harder for me, I guess..listening to him 'begging' for shushu mama. I always gave him several options, susu kotak, susu botol, or Ribena? And his answer is always shushu mama. sigh...

I'm still in the process of getting him to sleep with me (without sticking to my chest) and so far 3 out of berpuluh2 attempts have been succesful. We slept hugging each other and every moment I'm reminded how blessed I am to have Ilham in my life.

  • still wakes up many, many times at nite and demand "mama, susu" and cried like there's no tomorrow if I refused
  • misses his papa terribly he sleeps while holding his pix
  • sometimes wakes up in the middle of the nite looking for Papa and searching under the pillow for Papa's pix
  • can sit properly on his booster seat

  • still not eating food like normal toddler
  • loves plain rice , sup and biskut kering

  • demands hi Pok Ngoh to bring him to mcD by repeating "Ngoh, Nald"
  • recognizes the big M sign even from distance away
  • appears in Uzey's dream every nite

Back At Home

This is my first post in 2007. Been quite bz for the last few weeks and just couldn't find time to sit down and write something on the going-ons, plus the fact that the net connection was sooo slow I gave up after the first try.
Moving to a new place is not something that I would do much, I guess. After few experiences of moving from KL-Kert then to Btu and now back to Kert, I think I will not be relocating anywhere soon. Penat gile. I wonder how bz my dear friend 5ha2 is, as she is relocating far, far, away to the City of Love. IMHO, the further the distance, the longer to do list have to be prepared. :p

At the mo I'm typing this, Ilham is sleeping peacefully and Uzey is away in KL to claim the car, which the ETA is this morning. And our stuff will most prob arrive tomorrow. Lembap gila la pulak movers ni this time around. We expected our belongings to arrive last week, hence the earlier arrangement for them to pack early.

On the other hand, I've started work at the new place and things are looking fine. I'm still in the first phase of knowing people and learning things.

Same goes to Ilham. He now learns that mama goes to work and he stays at home with kakak bibik. He has added more words to his forte now, them being 'Aaayyiiimmm' and 'Miiimiii' ( I dont know who taught him to call his aunt and uncle by their name, without the title). He remembers everyone in my family, esp Nenek, Tok and Cik. He doesn't know how to pronounce Imi's name but he recognizes even the slowest of his voice. He enjoys the mini playground that we've created for him and he follows hi Aki to buy newspaper every morning. Infact, I can see that Ilham adapts to the new 'life' better that myself :-o

I hope the new year will bring great things to all of us. Here's wishing to a great one ahead and to all my dearest friends, bila nak datang Kert? It's just a toll plaza away from KL :-)

Goodbye Bintooloo

This will be my last post from BTU, the land of belachan. Look how happy Ilham is that we finally leave this place :-) We will surely miss this place but we will never return to live here! Experiences gained and friendships made for the last 2++ years have certainly made my life richer and looking back, it was reaallly a blessing in disguise for us. True enuff, setiap kejadian tu ada hikmahnya, it's just we didn't realize about it until it's too late.

2 years of being here has made our relationship stronger. Uzey has had the most precious opportunity to take care of his own son 24/7 since day 1. I have improved a lot on my culinary skills as Mom is not around to cook my favs food. I changed my job and found that I like this one better than the last. I met many, many people with the heart of gold, and I survived even more SOBs than I could ever think of.

I don't regret coming here. And definitely won't regret returning home.

This is one of the life many phases that will always be treasured.

I dun think I can blog as easily in the new place. My cube is just next to my manager's :p . So there goes my lepak time during office hours ..

UpDATES

Barang semua dah masuk kontena. Kereta dah hantar ke port. Few items yang nak dijual tengah tunggu new owner claim. Checked in Park*city Everly yesterday. Will check out tomorrow and flight is at 1pm. Hotel in kch has been booked. Tickets & passport ready. Had my last words with boss and felt like crying setitik muehehe. Transfer claim submitted. Said my goodbyes. Tinggal nak send Thank You note je before 4 pm. Oh and the Thank You cards will be distributed petang ni jugak.

The time has finally come!! I keep repeating this to myself as I think that it's hard to believe how lucky we are.

Syukur Alhamdulillah, God really works in His mysterious ways.

Sacrifices

I dont know how to start and I dont even know how to end.

Uzey has finally got a job. tapi kat P*utrajaya.
we're finally returning home. But then we'll be separated.
Ilham won't see his dad everyday, now his dad is there when he opens his eyes in the morning and he is there when he goes to bed everynite.
sape nak main sorok2 with Ilham? Aki kot..
I won't be moving in with my bro, I'll be staying with papa instead. so, no need to decide nak stay kat R*antau Laut ke R*antau Bukit.
Our intention nak balik Kert sbb nak jaga papa, now papa is the one who's gonna look after us.
luckily i've not been shopping for new furnitures, kalau tak, mana nak campak?
decisions... decisions..
should I move to the bigger room kat umah papa nanti? should we buy a new car so that uzey senang nak ulang alik? when are we gonna renovate the desa*Minium condo? when can uzey start occupying that apartment?

How am I gonna survive? Can I manage Ilham on my own?

God works in a mysterious way, I know.

Leaving on a jet plane..soon!

Currently {sipping my E*rl Grey tea, browsing EEKiya online catalogue and blogging at the same time}

What a nice working life I have. Counting down for another 17 days. Then.. Go home. Unpack our stuff. Uzey admits himself to Pakar Perdana S*pecialist Hosp, Ayah Chik 'repairs' his nose innerside, celebrate Raya Haji @ home, return to Kert and start new life at the new place. Looking forward to it! And as new year is approaching, might as well start a whole long list of new year's resolution..duhh...

oh, my bro's house was broken into yesterday, and he lost his laptop buruk, his coins collection amounting to RM200 plus and mama's old radio. and oh, yes, a tub of his hair cream. Wtf? Luckily segala gitar elektrik + amp + kasut Nik3 baru tak kena pau. If not, I think he will commit suicide for losing his precious guitar kurus tu. There goes our plan to move into his house. Konfem tak selamat.

The dept is organizing a farewell lunch for me today at the Club. I'm happy that they're 'shoo-ing' me away earlier than expected. I should prepare a speech, shouldn't I? Tak payah, don't think people would listen as they are gonna be busy stuffing their mouths with the good, glorious seafood.

ilham is changing his tido cycle, now he wakes up around 6,7 am so I had to send him downstairs to play with Uzey (while I continue sleeping)

i miss Ilham. bosan dok opis. rasa nak balik je.

Left Or Right? Blue or Black? Stay Or Leave?

Ilham has yet to master the Art of making decision, as he was really confused last nite when we offered him 2 different ice cream flavours with different colours. After all, he is my son, and I'm the worst decision maker in the whole wide world! I'm hoping he won't take after me. Seriously, living as an indecisive person is hard, coz u've gotta depend on logics (and Uzey) the whole time.

There were many, many times in life that I had to make decisions, and Alhamdulillah I think I made the correct ones (for most of 'em). Even the incorrect ones turned okay at the end of the day. It's just a matter of making the maybe-correct decision at that point in time makes it hard for me.

During the time when I was happily working in KL, (I thought I was happy) and had to make a decision whether to accept the job offer in Kert*h or not, it took me days to make up my mind. I even listed down the positive and negative side of it on a whiteboard and forced Uzey to decide for me. Turned out that life in Kert*h was great, so a brownie point for a decision well made.

And at that time when we were about to be outsourced.. It took me days, many, many people's opinions and many, many rakaat of semayang hajat before we decided not to take the offer.. and again, many2 prayers and doa and nazar and hopes to decide whether we should move to Btu or not. Gosh.. it was soo damn hard to decide! For someone like me, it took me hours just to choose between and a black or dark blue shoes, so when it comes to life changing event like this, I just didn't have energy to think!

And now, after 2.2 years in Btu, as we are moving back to where we belong, I've gotta decide, to stay with papa or to rent our own house? to invite my bro, or just leave him alone? to take the bigger house or just settle for the small one? RM600 or RM650? and so many many many more unaswered questions that keep boggling my mind.

Well, I'm giving myself few more days then I shall put a stop to all these Qs, answer it and write it down somewhere and stop asking myself the same questions again!

And.. oh.. shud I buy 2-in-1 washer dryer or buy 'em separately?????

I think it's about time for you to fire your IT guys who are responsible (they shud, but they aren't) to maintain/update/do whatever for the M4s online booking website. This morning, for the 100th time I tried to book Mama's ticket and for the 101th time the system hang bodoh just like that. And I'm tired of typing my credit card number y'know. The day before I called , I was told "oh our system is down", yesterday I called again "oh, u cant use mastercard, there's a problem with our server" and this morning, "OH, NOW VISA IS HAVING PROBLEM" wtf? wtf? tell me wtf is happening to you guys? don't blame the system, I know I used to but this time, i wouldn't. I've never encountered this kind of stoopid wasting time problem with the other airline.. but this time around, as we are traveling together, and our tickets have been purchased so I cant let my mother travels alone on AA while we are on the other one, can I? So please la En I*drays, I know you are struggling to maintain the standard but please la dont let us suffer membuang masa blogging about your stupid system like this. Haven't you made enuff money to recover your loss? Then use that money to revamp your system, please. If not I will act like a crazy lady again when calling the 1300 number.

signing off,

My Little Ilham

I've not been updating on Ilham's little achievements lately. That's maybe due to being so 'engrossed' in this transfer-maki-bos-bosan keje thingy.. I guess I shud be blogging more bout Ilham after this, after all, this blog is dedicated to him :-)

My darling Ilham will turn 1 year and 5 months in 5 days' time. At this stage, I'm secretly hoping that he can say at least few words so that we can communicate more efficiently, but well, I guess he is still observing the world around him and trying to process every single data in his brain. That's why he always have this solemn look when observing people. Oh no, it's more like staring at people, esp those whom he met for the first time..

He understands most of our directions now, Even those that we were not teaching him at all. He says "vroom" when he sees picture fo a car, or his toy car, even when we say car. He knows how a lamb should sound, he knows his "bird" and keeps repeating (and touching) it during nappy change. He can say Bukak and Tutup in his own version.. bucak.. cucup.. clearly.. He knows in and out and sometimes repeat after me. He can say Bye Papa properly and he can say don't do that in an almost perfect way.

He nods when he wants something and and he shakes in head in disapproval and rejection for almost every kind of food that I offer him. He loves to say Dah! and he holds our hand and say Jom! when he thinks we are going somewhere.

He's a gem and the apple of our eyes. He makes me forget that the outside world is cruel. He makes me forget that sometimes we are in the most difficult situation, and he makes me forget everything around me once I see his smile and when he starts giggling and talking to me in his baby language.

That's my little Ilham. We could not have survived the entire stupid Btu ordeal without him, seriously.

Post- Eid Report

Celebrated raya to the max and ate like there's no tomorrow. Spent 16 days at home (minus 2 traveling days) and berulang alik Kerteh-TM-KB and back to Kerteh. Time well spent with both families and looking forward to go back for good by end of this year.. until.. few minutes ago when BB cam to me with an assignment and a statement "your transfer will depend on the completion of this assignment"...wtf? Ada hati nak hold aku lagi ..sampai February lak tu? bullshitttt... memang a$$hole besar mamat ni.. My transfer has been APPROVED and my name has been published on the intranet and yet, I am still here, covering his big a$$hole until when..forever? well, if that's a challenge, I am more than willing to accept it. And I'll make sure that on 2nd January 2007 , my big fat a$$ will be sitting on a chair in HR Dept, E*EM* dengan jayanya.

Loads of pictures were snapped during raya and Mimi's wedding but none is with me now. And I can't upload the pix from my phone to Palm coz I was absentmindedly deleted the Photos apps. Bangangnya, now I can only view the pics on Palm desktop only. Arghh... Am too lazy to figure out how to reinstall 'em back. am too lazy to do anything.. let me go, fu6ker!

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri...

..and Maaf zahir Batin.. to all my readers? Readers? yeaa rite..do I have readers? Oh I do.. err.. boleh dikira dengan jari :-)
To all my friends, drive safely and have a good time with your families. We are leaving with 4 pm flight today, transit at KLIA for 1.5 hours and depart for KT around 7.30 pm. Hope it's gonna be a smooth journey.
Won't be blogging for approximately 16 days, definitely! As I know I will be busy chasing Ilham around and stuffing my face up with all those raya delicacies.

It's GOODNEWSDAY!

Feel so happy! A friend's wife delivered a baby girl yesterday and another friend has just received the news that she's pregnant with her 2nd baby! And to think that Ilham and his first son were delivered just 3 days apart. I'm so happy for her coz it took her 4 years, many2 bidan and more than 3 gynaes in her quest to become a mother and suddenly yang 2nd one ni, unexpectedly, without help of any Cl0mid whatsoever.. it's just pure luck and rezeki from God.

and am even happier coz I've got the permission from BB to go home 5 hours earlier on Friday without having to take any leave! yeaahhaaa.. can't wait! have started packing our things since last nite and I actually ironed all of Ilham's clothes.. --> too excited :O nak balik hehe..

1/11 or 1/1??

Met my future boss in KL and he was asking me again and again.. "What's holding you?" It was hard for me to answer his question as BB over here is not releasing me..yet. Susahla camni beb. Given a choice, I'd like to start on 1/1.. sebabnya aku taknak la burn kan tiket flight nak pegi Yantie nye wedding!! Hahaha tu je reason dia. If I hv to be there on 1/11, cam tak logikla coz dah semput sangat..today is oledi 9/10.. and on 1/11 we are still on raya hols.. kalau 1/12 lak..burn tiket..rugi.. so I guess the best date would be 1/1. Start new year with new company, new boss, new place (?) and new job.. Just remembered that my nazar is sekor kambing if I get to transfer by this year and another one if I get a place in Kerth.. well, seems that we will have a kambing party on Raya haji this year? Yeahh.. too bad I hate lamb, nevermind, can always include something else in the menu later..

KL trip was good. Ilham was enjoying himself throughout the 4 day trip. During the 2 hr flight, he slept a little, played a little, had juice, cookies, read his book, tear up the pages of the inflight magazine and imitating the sound of someone behind us puking :-) He was also okay during the whole day in mama's care. slept at 1 am , playing with Teh & becik and woke up at 12 noon! Budak kecik apa tido time cam tu? I didn't do any major damage to my credit cards/ bank account, so that's one hell of an achievement for someone uncontrollable like me..

The only major setback during the trip was the hotel. Sucks gile service, esp the laundry bag part! Tell me, which hotel CHARGE their guests for requesting extra laundry bag???llo... u dont expect me to use only ONE laundry bag kalau stay sampai 4,5 days, okay? I've been to the 'posh-er' ones and tak penah pulak kena cam tu. Kalau kedekut sangat, provide the plastic ones..which they dont have oso... iskk.. fail ..fail.. if not becoz of the location, I dun think I will stay there ever, again. Or maybe next time kalau nak stay situ, kena bawak plastic bag sendiri banyak2..

KL Short Trip

Pocoyo wannabe vs the real pocoyo :)

Ilham & I will be leaving for KL tomorrow, leaving Uzey alone, again. My plan for tomolo, ask mama & teh to wait for us at KL $entral, check in at Im*piana, bukak puasa & wait for abah there. I've read so many bad reviews about that hotel, but that's the only one nearest to KLsisi. I wanna go back during long lunch break on Friday, and I dont hv the heart to stay at MO, malas nak menjawab kalau claim banyak sangat, their rate is so damn expensive! After much contemplating between Nik*ko, Impi*ana, MO, Konkod & H*ilton, I've confirmed my booking at Imp, coz of its location. Siaple kalau service sux, aku komplen banyak2 nanti. Afterall, that's the easiest place for me to go to work Friday morning.. We'll traveling back with one colleague of mine on sunday, so that I have someone else to chase Ilham for me hehe. Hopefully si pokoyo ni tak buat perangai during the 2 hrs flight..

~over & out balik masak utk berbuka

kwik update on the journey
Ilham was such a good boy during the 2 hr journey. reached hotel at 8.15pm. bad decision by staying there, but it's oledi too late..
will update again soon..

Lauk Berbuka For Today

Went to the Tamu last weekend and snapped this pix. Shud have captured in video instead, so baru la bleh nampak ulat2 sagu ni dok menggeliat dalam bakul masing2. It's for sale, 3 ekor singgit. I think if you buy the whole clan, you can get it cheaper.

On our way back, some mangoes captured my attention. Tapi satu timbun RM3 sekilo, next to it, setimbun lagi, RM4 sekilo. So our conversation goes like dis

Aku: Eh ni kenapa harga lain
Makcik : Ni mango, ni mangga (pointing to the timbun)

Wtf???

Alhamdulillah

My wish has finally come true. My paper is cleared, everything is okay, and approval from the VP has been received. What more can I ask for? Cukup dah. I'm so happy rite now, takleh nak describe dah. Hope things will go smoothly after this.. I'm sure banyak lagi obstacles ni, with my current boss yang tak berapa nak ikhlas ni, iskk... As Sue said, this is the best bday gift ever! Memang pun.. rasa nak melompat ni beb...

A'ways, ni lah rupa brownie yang tak macam brownie. Apparently my brownie is soft and fluffy, so konfem la bukan brownie. Boleh ke aku buat brownie tapi jadi kek? Muahaha.. I'm such a loser when it comes to baking! Nasib baik it tastes good, even Ilham loves it! Note to self: Misti beli vanilla ice cream tonite, baru best. Ilham was 'helping' me in the kitchen while I was baking, but he was afraid of hand-mixer! So I had to carry him while mixing the egg+sugar, that's why brownie ni tak menjadi.. muahaha.. excuse, excuses..

I'm so happy today.. lalalalallaa

"So Is Everyone Else"

This one line remark made me cry for almost 20 minutes in the isolated PC lab. To summarize the whole thing, I'm so unlucky to have a heartless, rude, inconsiderate, selfish, annoying bastard to be my boss.
Full stop.

I Miss Ilham..

Uzey drove me to work today, since Ilham woke up very early. As usual, my baby had so much fun sitting in his carseat and watched the world go by, he even hummed few songs and blabbering to himself.

But.. when we reached my office, I gave him a kiss, stepped out of the car and waved to him, his expression changed drastically. No more that cheerful baby singing to himself, he looked so sad, I felt like crying myself. His eyes were fixed on me until Uzey reversed the car and left.

Ilham, I'm sorry I have to leave you. Believe me, I do this for you, for us.. I would trade anything in the world just to be with you.. but I can't. So for the few hours I'm gone, Papa will tak great care of you.. and I'll be home soon!!

Mama loves you so much..

Ilham's Idol

Here's a pix of Ilham with his friends. I don't hv the mood to write anything today, sakit mulut, this big ulcer in my mouth is killing me! Lepas gigi, ulser pulak.. arghh! Oh, we've got our raya tickets. Can't wait to go home!

Happy Ramadhan

I've left my blog idle for few days, due to the stupid rotten tooth that got extracted on Saturday and has made my life miserable since then. Thank God it's okay now and my life is back to normal.

Ilham has a new hobby. He likes playground so much I thought of having one in our own backyard..perghh..macam banyak duit je. But seriously, if were rich, I would buy all those Little Tike$ punye stuff and let him play sampai tido. We went to KFC and he had fun playing on the slides, and when Uzey took him to the palyground while waiting for me at the dentist, Uzey SMSed me and said "Ilham lupa diri".. seriously I can imagine how he was overjoyed being at the playground.

On the other hand, it's 3rd day of Puasa month. This is our 3rd ramadhan here in BTU, and as usual, it sucks. I mean not la the puasa sucks, but we miss all the glorious food we can have back at home!!!

Our fate is going to be determined tomorrow. I know it's all written in qada' and qadar, but I'm praying that we'll get the green light and we'll be outta here by January..aminn...

At 15 months..

This is Ilham's favourite pastime activity.. cleaning his toys with that little broom. Am I raising a cleanliness freak? Or this is okay? Well, I think this is fine, just hope that he won't turn out to be like Monk :o One thing for sure is that li'l broom can distract him anytime! Li'l broom saves the day!

Being a cheerful toddler he is, he is not afraid of strangers, but Ilham is afraid of vacuum cleaner, lawn mower & lori simen. There was a butterfly in the house last nite, he was fascinated by it. Wanted to follow the b'fly, but was afraid to venture alone, so he asked me to carry him around to chase that thing. If he is afraid of butterfly, cemana nak bawak gi zoo?

His A..B..C.. is improving now, sounds clearer. Everytime I sing baa..baa.. black sheep.. he will try to imitate.. but only the baa.. baa.. part and followed by shhh.... so his song will be "baa..baa... beh..shhh.."

His appetite is also improving. He can finish a small tub of yoghurt now, compared to before where he only eats a spoonful or two.. and he can also finish a jar of blended rice now in the afternoon, provided I don't come home during lunch break. The only thing that we still need him to do is to drink formula while he is awake! While he sleeps he can drink maximum 6 oz of formula, but he will kick the bottle if he is awake. I really want him to be able to drink formula anytime during the day, so that he won't be 'attacking' me at nite :-)

Well, here's to many many months and years to come for my darling Ilham!

Wake Me Up When September Ends

Picture of Ilham & his Aki taken at the golf resort where we stayed for a nite last weekend.

And there goes another weekend.. how time flies. Kejap je and it's almost October. Can we skip November & December? So that we go straight to January and by then we all are back at home.

Went to Miri again, this time with papa & ayim. We departed late Saturday afternoon and went straight to the resort. Went out to had dinner and I was such a good girl for not buying anything eventhough Au$$ino ada stock clearance, sebabnya, I left my wallet at home! Menyesal nya aku tertinggal menda tu, next time, I won't leave home without my plastic money. But on the other hand, it did me good for not spending on the unnecessary..

Oh and I guess I shud write to MD of Coff33 Bean & Tea leaf mesia sebabnya, ultimate mocha at their Miri branch doesn't taste like ultimate mocha at all! Korang tipu ingredients, eh? Ceh.. and I paid 12 bucks just for a taste of plain ice blended.. tak altimet langsunG!

Left Miri around 3 pm and was home by 5 pm. Last nite I prepared kurma ayam but everyone was still full, so I made sushi instead and keep the kurma for today's lunch. I feel bad when papa is home and I hv to come to work. And I've a meeting at 7.30 pm tonite!!! WTF???? Why laaa kena buat meeting when I have guests... tssk..tskk...

Called the travel agent just now to re-route our flight, instead of arriving in KBR, we will arrive at TGG. So that we can be in Kert for few days before raya to help with Mimi's wedding preps. After that, balik raya TM and eve of 1st raya must return to Kert. Pengsan beb. I'll never ever plan for a wedding during raya time! Bleh mati cam ni..

Ilham is enjoying every minutes of his time, since ada company at home. And he shows an instant liking to his aki. After all, he'll be spending most of his time with Aki later, when we move to Kert, I'll drop him at papa's place before going to work.

Bosan & bosan & bosan. Hafta finish few things by today

slow updates

As predicted by Uzey, impossible for us to leave by November. So there goes my angan2 to go back for good during raya break. Hopefully betulla bleh blah by January, if not..sigh.. tak tau nak maki sape.. :(

I've been outta office for the last few days, discovering my true self la kononnya by attending the leadership program. What leader? Who? Leader? Me? yeaahh rite.. but it was fun to got to know myself, though i'm sure I still have a long way to go to be a real one.

Few months back I dicovered that I'm a dominant leader, in my kuku besi style. And I knew now that I'm a balanced choleric-melancholic-phlegmatic person, which explains why I'm a bossy, to-do-list freak, friendly(?) and indecisive person. And at the same time, I'm an introvert-judger-feeler-sensor person. That's quite complicated for someone plain and simple like me, but what de heck , dah itu result dia. I guess now I've gotta be cautious on the way I treat my subord, kesian derang dapat aku jadik bos. Plus the fact that I can be loud, direct, sarcastic and MANIC when I'm at my worst, I'm making their life hell. Wtf, let me outta here and I make them happy hehehe

Ilham's not so well these few days. Guess he's tired, tetiba dapat flu. Luckily Uzey gave him the medication early so it's not getting worse. Looking fwd for Papa's and ayim's visit, they are arriving tomorrow with my keropok lekor, woohoo.. we're planning to drive to Miri again this weekend, tapi cam bosan je.. nothing interesting to do there, unless we wanna go and visit tempat2 bersejarah, which is definitely not my cup of tea! Bonus is coming in soon, so that's one thing that makes me one happy satisfied thankful lady!!

KK Trip

Our journey started at 0615 hrs on Friday morning. Ilham slept all the way until reached Miri at 0830 hrs and went to the airport earlier since we've never flew from Miri airport before. Ilham, as usual, was having fun walking around the airport and penat giler nak kejar dia. He actually went to this mat saleh couple who were eating ice cream and senyum2 kat couple tu, hoping that they will offer him kot.. and he actually said 'Bye!' and waved his hand when I went to get him out of their way. The flight was smooth, and short! Ilham only managed to catch a 30 mins nap and opened his eyes the moment we landed at KK airport. My parents and bro arrived almost 3 hrs earlier than us, so they checked in to the hotel first. We were so excited, and it was a surprise to see that the hotel was located right infront of the market area, which was my mom's only target. I knew she will be really happy about it. When I was there 3 years ago, I don't remember seeing any building at the Meridien's location. And the room, my goodness! It was double the size of Meridien KL's deluxe! I was imagining that the room is as small, but it turned out that 10 adults pun boleh muat in that room! and plus the fact that our room faces the main road, the waterfront, and we can actually see the swimming pool from upstairs. The RM500+ for 2 nites that we spent was worth it, coz the look on my parents face were priceless, esp mama who actually made SIX trips to the market to buy lots and lots of souvenirs! Food was ample, and fresh some more. Uzey & Imi went island hopping & snorkelling the next day, I only managed to go to the market once after they came back. Got myself a nice pink pearl pendant and black pearl bracelet and they were dirt cheap. The only thing that spoilt the vacation was the AA terminal 2, which was terrible! Bangang betul when the check in counter is next to a construction area, dusty, hot, crowded place. Dahle ramai orang in the departure hall. But again, for RM4.99 tickets, I should not complain much, should I?

Reached Miri at 12 noon, had lunch at my father's friend place and reached home at 4 pm. Perjalanan yang memuaskan, tapi lain kali tak nak pegi lagi ah. I had enuff of KK. So, next destination is Hanoi, insyaAllah..

Spent the entire lunch hour browsing Ikea's 2007 online catalogue . How I wish I have tonnes of $$ so that I can buy everything I like. Tiap2 kali tak balik rumah during lunch, I feel like time stops moving. 1 hour seems too long.

We are fasting today, so I'm planning to cook prawn olio, got a simple recipe for it, and I hope it will turn out to be better that what we had at PiZZ^ hut last week.

I've so many things in my mind rite now, especially since I knew that I'm leaving soon. 1st Nov seems too near, dah le masa tu only few days after raya, and Mimi's wedding some more. So I guess we hafta revise oru plan etc etc. and be prepared to face a chaos, esp during moving time!

Surprises! Surprises!

Ilham surprised me last 2 nites. He was playing in the kitchen, when I called his name, he came out and brought a piece of wipecloth and suddenly he started wiping his play gym!!!! Only then Uzey told me that he saw Uzey wiping the food he spilled on the floor earlier. Lepas tu, terus imitate. That was not the first time. Few days back, I saw him wiping the floor, Oshin-style. Sampai tertonggeng-tonggeng. And the other day when I said "Bye!" he actually said bye while waving his hands. Tapi after that, suruh repeat dah tak mau. So I guess, after Mama, Papa, boo, ABC.. bye is his next word.

We have been giving orders to him lately. "Ilham, nak remote.." there he comes with the remote control.. "Ilham, nak handphone"... cepat2 cari and bring to us.. he now can bring us pampers, book, air, seluar.. I guess it won't be long before he can start to bring us drinks, magazine, etc etc.. hehe buli anak..

Every morning b4 I leave for work, I'll open the door just to catch a glimpse on dua anak beranak tu. And most of the time, Ilham sleeps close to Uzey, as in almost hugging him. There were times, he slept right under Uzey's ketiak.. few times on Uzey's chest.. and one time on Uzey's arm. I'm sure he'll miss those moments once Ilham grows up/Uzey has to wake up earlier to get ready to work..

On other note, my EDC paper is being prepared. The status is almost okay, hope things will go smoothly and I can start planning my future in Kert as soon as possible!

The Doughnut Story

Ilham woke up EARLY on Sunday, and when I say early.. it's wayyy toooo early by my standard. 6.45 am beb!!! Hari ini dalam sejarah betulla... but since he woke up crying but didnt wanna open his eyes, I opened all windows, doors and told him, dah pagi tau.. I guess dia cam mengingau and still ingat malam. It's the first time in.. er.. I guess.. 2 years kot.. I woke up THAT early during a weekend.
I left him to play with Uzey and went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. And since I've planned to make doughnuts, I prepared the doh as well. It's actually my 3rd time preparing it My first attempt when I was few months pregnant, I threw away everything! Sebabnya doh tak naik hahaha. Sebab apa doh tak naik? Sebab masa tengah sukat gandum tu tetiba gandum tak cukup and terpaksa suruh Uzey pegi kedai and beli gandum.. So the 'intermitten' tu lah agaknya yang menspoilkan doh tu.. But before I threw it away, I actually went outside and put the bowl under the hot sun, dengan harapan doh tu akan naik gak.. but.. hehe jadi kuih pau ade lah.. When I was home dekat2 nak beranak, I saw Mama making it, so few months after that, I tried again, during last CNY break. And I finally made it!! Keskeskes ..But this time.. my third attempt.. it turned out to be quite 'doughy'.. (ada ke word ni Puan Sub Editor/ Cik English teacher?)
Okay, enuff bout doughnut. Just received a notification from AA this morning that they are retiming our flight to 12.15 pm instead of the original 8 am. Sukati mak bapak dia je nak retime2 flight cam tu? Iskk... But I guess I shud not komplen too much memandangkan kitorang beli tiket RM4.99 je hehe.. But hey! Tax mahal jugak !!
Whatever it is, I hope this week nobody will spoil my cuti mood. Though I'm damn sure that SoB will!!!

7 Days..

This Craig David song was on Cat$ FM this morning. I actually tune in to this particular FM every morning while driving to work, coz of the good selection of songs by the morning DJs. But after 9 am, don't ever tune in to it! Boleh muntah dengar bahasa orang *ban and what not.

7 days.. to our 3rd wedding anniversary. Dah 3 years eh? How time does fly.. 3 years of meaningful journey, from Kertih to BTU and back to Kertih (soon!), pre-Ilham & post-Ilham... cheers to a grreat 3 years and more to come!

Spent the free cuti waking up late. Wanted to fast but changed my mind at 11 am coz lapar gila and I forced Uzey to buka pose as well so we can eat lunch together gether. Went out & bought Ilham a new pair of shoes. Masa kat kedai tu, everytime suruh dia test the shoes misti jalan pusing satu kedai and buat muka konfiden lak tu as if cam kasut tu dah memang dia punya. Took him to the beach in the evening, he had fun walking all over the place but when he suddenly noticed that ada budak tengah main air laut yang kaler longkang tu, he pratically run to the shore! Iskk.. dont la main air laut kat sini, tak best langsung! Had guests at nite, cooked macaroni + ciken soup though my initial plan was to cook Uzey's faveret kurma.

Am fasting today, hopefully can survive :) but before that, I need to curse that SoB first. Celaka punya orang tua, ko langsung tak tau ape benda ko kena buat eh? Tetiba nak main pass2 kat orang suka ati mak bapak kau je. Ko memang celaka go to hell, I cant wait to leave this place! Aku tak sanggup beb keje ngan orang cam kau lagi.. ^&#^$^&@@*!!!!!!

Aiiiiyyy..Biii.... Chiii....

That's ABC for Ilham. Tak lepas lagi D. But karaokela kot, considering he doesnt read book, he eats book.

My fat a$$ is not going anywhere today, as I've gotta be on standby for that Technical Meeting. what technical meeting? Aku orang HR woii... and again the SoB cam biasa, lari dari tanggungjawab seorang manusia sbb 'being busy' attending training and in the end aku gak kena menjawab issue2 area dia kat meeting tu nanti. So I'm waiting for the dreaded phonecall , " Okay, please come to the meeting room now" Argghh menjawab la aku dengan GM Pl&nt nanti..Iskk..iskk..

Latest news yang aku tak caya gak.. I've been given the permission to leave latest by December. Owhh really? Yeaahhh ritee... tak caya aku. Why izit so hard for these people to decide? Dahla tetiba BB mentioned sumthing about me transferred to Pett pulak. Pulak??? Konfius + sakit jiwa beb.

Uzey is still fasting. Dah more than 1 week oledi. Aku? Baru sehari hehe. Horer ah pemalas nak mampus.

I've taken Ilham out to play with anak2 of the only neighbour Islam ku twice oledi. And he likes it so much. Seems that he is having fun berjalan kesana kemari, bukannya dia interested pun nak main ngan budak2 tu, after all many of them are girls, and besar dari dia..

Update: Back from the meeting and cursing the SoB ..again! Buduhh nak mampos... now I've got to wipe the shit he made. ~maki hamun over and out

Life Is 'Izy' With Direction

So, for Ilham. his life is quite easy now, sbb dah paham sepatah dua direction. Such as

"mana air Ilham" ---> bergegas sepantas kilat ambik botol Barney & terus minum sampai terbatuk2 and right after that.. gedegang! campak botol anywhere yang disukai

"where's your boo" ---> jalan senget2 utk pegi pick up his ball and pretend to kick as hard

"sape hencem?" ---> disudahi dengan jawapan "Paaa paa!!" sometimes he just whispers2 just like Mr Brown

"ABC ilham mana?" --> followed by "Aaaiiiyy.. biii...ishh..ishh..." while flipping through the pages and after 2 seconds will start biting the book itself

and the last command, "NO, Ilham" will be followed by
- campak toys kuar rumah thru the window
- masuk/celup2 kaki dalam jamban
- bukak pintu cabinet and sepahkan barang/ baju
- buat muka busuk
- buang nasik merata2
- and the list goes on and on....

Thursday is a holiday, and next Friday is a holiday as well! Can't wait for our KK trip...

I Love My Job..yeaahhh rite...

Spent the whole morning having meeting in the plant. I mean, in a meeting room in plant area, notla in the boiler or steamer or sumthing. It was so hot and the stench was unbearable. Respek betul those engineers and operators who have been working in that kind of environment. Not for me, saya suka aircond.. hehehe .

Here's a pic courtesy of our own intranet. I'm actually quite proud to be working here, it's just that..umm.. its location tu tak kena. Kalaulaaaa plant ni kat Kertih, I'll stay even for the next 20 years!

I know my size is quite small for an engineer, tapi mama kata okay. So I borrowed mama's jacket and helmet and tried to pretend I'm in the plant.

Sunset in Redang

Love who you are.

Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say
"I am too blessed to be stressed and too anointed to be disappointed!"

"Winners make things happen. Losers let things happen."
"To the world you might be one person,
but to one person you just might be the world".

Say No To Promenade

I've been sitting on my fat a$$ without doing anything berfaedah for the last 3 days.

Just confirmed the arrangement of our accommodation. I had earlier booked a room in Promenade Hotel, but I changed my mind AFTER confirmation coz the stoopid receptionist was so damn rude. I've been doing my bookings at many other hotels with more stars, but only in Promenade they asked for the 3 digit number at the back of your credit card "just to secure the room". What a stupid reason. Helloo.. with that 3 digit numbers, senang2 je orang bleh copy and make purchases online. I don't wanna have more nightmares. Bill yang tak setel2 lagi ni pun dah cukup sengsara hehehe. The receptionist was not only rude during requesting my details, she didn't even say Thanks after it's confirmed. So dengan perasaan tak puas ati with the zero star service, I decided to book Le Meridien instead. Yes, it's more expensive, but what the heck, asalkan aku puas ati. Even with government rate, as I used Abah's name, it's still RM100 plus higher. Never mind, as long as it's near to the Filipino market etc, that's what matters most to my mom :). I plan not to shop again. This is actually just a trip to accompany my parents who have never been there. Though I'm still looking for a good seafood place. The one near the jetty what we went last time was too far away. with Ilham in tow, takde sapa nak pegi. Oh, Ilham is 200 gram heavier now. After 2 months, naik 200 gram je? Aiyoo.. He is now weighs at 8.6 kg tapi beratnya rasa cam 10 kg dah.

Can't wait for the trip, and can't wait to receive the transfer letter. Where's my letter, demmit!

~over and out.

Ilham's World Part II- The Real Thing

For me, the real thing will happen only after receiving the transfer letter. As of now, life goes on. But once we return to the place we call home, we can proudly say that WE SURVIVED LIFE IN BTU!!! Yeaahaa..!!

As for Ilham, everything seems so real to him. Elmo macam real, Barney macam real.. tiap2 hari main keta Cars tu pun cam real. His routine now is

0800 hrs: Nangis sikit, wake up, scan the room, tak nampak Mama..okay..golek2 and tido sebelah Papa

1030 hrs: Bukak mata, nangis kalau panas, make sure Papa on aircond, tido balik, kentut2 and golek2

1100 hrs: Sepak2 Papa kalau Papa tido lagi, bangun, play with toys, pusing2 di sekeliling bilik sampai Papa ajak mandi

1130 hrs: After bath, siap2 and turun bawah. While Papa is reheating nasik dalam microwave, minum vitamin perasa oren..yummyy.. and makan nasik

1200 hrs: Panjat sofa, bergayut kat grill tingkap, tunggu Mama balik for lunch

1220 hrs: Mama sampai, minum susu, watch Elmo's World

1300 hrs: Mama pegi keje balik, Ilham masuk buai, Papa sumbat formula hahaha

1430 hrs: Papa baaaru nak tido, Ilham wakes up and demands attention. So play with Papa, baca buku ABC and watch Playhouse Disney.

1700 hrs: Right after Barney, panjat sofa, gayut lagi. It's about time for mama to arrive

1720 hrs: Susu lagi. Main kejap and naik atas. Mandi, play, play, jalan mundar mandir

2300 hrs: Lights out. Sume orang tido. Ilham pun tido...

Ilham's World

I've been very busy for the past 2 weeks I don't have to sit down and write about my baby's progress. I made some mental notes, tapi notes tu pun lupa gak. Iskh..

Anyways, Ilham has mastered his walking skills. Infact he walks all over the house, only at times when I observe him, he actually forgets that he know how to walk, he crawls. Then, after few seconds, he realizes that he CAN WALK, he stands up and walk! Sometimes jalan cam Frankestein pun ada, cam nenek kebayan pun ada. There were times he jalan mengiring as in ke tepi left and right. Lawak betul.

I'm taking him out for dinner tonite. Yes, dinner. It's actually a meeting dinner with our new MD, but I dont have the heart to leave him @home, so I'm taking him. Lantak la apa org nak cakap, I've got the permission from BB oledi.

Bought AA tickets for Papa & Ayim. They are coming to visit us mid Sept. Good deal, I would say, sebab tickets tu buy 1 free 1. Tapi yang mahal, tax pulak. But what de heck asalkan ada seat yang free tu, rite?

We've confirmed ambik GE for Ilham's education fund. It looks okay. But we are paying yearly, saves us around RM100 per year, lepas dah tolak2 segala fees and charges tu.

Ilham has started to like biscuits. Before this he refused all sorts of rusks, he eats only Famous Amo$ cookies, now when I offer him Oreo, he can actually finish half piece, so kira okayla tu kan, adala improvement. And he likes his biskut tiger as well. I'm happy with his new development, meaning lepas ni I can start to give him menda yang keras2 sket lah, if not makan bubur pun choking, or in his case, force to choke himself!

I've not informed my subordinate that he will taking over my job, provided he performs well. Cam susah je nak ajar orang tua. I've actually dah banyak bersabar with him but I NEED TO LEAVE, so nak tak nak kena gak ajar that SO of mine so that he can be my successor.

Bosan, bosan, and bosan. The SoB sama jugak la perangai. Bodoh & sombong.. hahaha what a description.

I'm going home now to my baby and my hubby. ~

Wakey Wakey!

So hard to wake up early today, I ended up sleeping until 8.04 am. Can somebody tell me what time my office starts? Haha tepat sekali!! It's at 7.30 am!!!! Patutla ada orang nak DI aku muehehe. After 2 days of waking up at 11.55 am and 10.20 am consecutively, it took me ages to convince myself that today is Monday!!

Cooked mee curry last nite. Uzey was walloping it like there's no tomorrow. The last time I cooked it was when I was still preggie. I know how much Uzey likes it coz arwah Mama always cooked it, and even sent some to me before we got married.

Ilham has recovered from his fever, and the red spots have spread jadi tompok2 pulak. Mula2 Ilham Si Bintik, then Ilham Si Tompok. By Sunday, it was 70% gone. We went to the Paed on Saturday afternoon to check on his coughing and phlegm. And as usual he had to take a session of Nebulizer. He cried like a small baby, oh he IS a small baby, rite? But maybe dah lama sangat tak kena Neb tu so that's why he was furious.

He is still having a bad cough. Sampai terduduk2. Kesiannn... hope he will get better soon!!

Nothing much happened during the weekend. Still counting the days, when are they going to let me go????

Here Comes The Weekend!!

There's so many things I'd like to write about. But I dun think I hv enuff time to yak, I'll just hv quick notes for these

1. Ilham is getting better. Though he still have diarrhea. Woke up at 1.48 am and cried before ending up soiling his nappy. I was quite worried coz his poopoo is green/blackish in colour. And OMG, he has red dots all over his body! When we asked the Paed last nite, he said, that's normal for 3 days babies to have the dots to after they just recover from fever. How true is that? No, I'm not saying the Paed lied, tapi sajalah, benefits of the the doubt.. So I'm still surfing the net to find the real satisfying answer.

2. Blogging is a national issue. Wtf? I mean like, blogging is NOT a crime!! I just think it's just an addiction :-) As for me, I've been reading blogs since January 2004, and still am. Until recently I finally managed to have the courage to start my own. For the last 2 years plus, I've never came across blogs yang plot for murder, kidnapping, bombing and so on. Most are just sharing their experiences and I could say that it enriches my life to read other peoples experience. Let them say whatever they want lah.. As for me, I'm not in favour of blogging bout national issues. I just wanna talk bout my life. So that when the time comes, I can always reflect and look back, how far I've come and how good I've become.

3. New baby in the family! My cousin R*by has just delivered a baby boy at 8.40 am this morning! Now Ilham has a sparring partner haha! Delivered by the same gynae who assisted me.. my father's cousin.

4. Weekend is here! Humm.. what's the menu fo weekend? Last nite I cooked daging msk merah for dinner. I plan to cook black pepper beef strips for tonite. Let's see.. We have a small pumpkin in the kitchen, I might prepare pumpkin custard , but ..err I dun think I will coz Uzey doesnt like it. Then what else? Spaghetti? Boooriing...

5. The war in my office between me & the SoB. Just received a text message from BB. It says " U mean between U and JT? Don't worry we'll sort is asap, just stay cool." Haha serves u right SoB!!! I am now in the winning team! I've made my alliance with sooo many people. So u kiss my a$$ okay?!?!? Can't wait for BB to come back!

~over and out.. I'm off to a great weekend!~

I don't hate my job, I just hate my BOSS.. :p

Hate Your Job? 10 Ways to CopeBy Kate Lorenz, CareerBuilder.com

Having a job you just hate is never an easy thing to deal with, but sometimes you just need to grin and bear it until another good opportunity comes along. Whether you're currently stuck because you just have to pay the bills or are holding out for the next great job, here are some things you can do to help you get through the day.

1. Set weekly goals for yourself. Sometimes it is easier to get through the day when you can keep your eye on the prize. Even if you hate your job now, there is something out there that will make you happy. Make weekly goals to help you find that golden opportunity. One week you might strive to send out five resumes or attend one networking event. Setting these goals will give you something to work towards.

2. Do one thing each day to help you reach your goals. You don't need to cross all your goals off your list every day, but you can chip away at it. When wake up, set a daily objective for yourself and make sure you achieve it. This will give you a sense of accomplishment and keep you feeling good about your progress.

3. Give yourself "me time" before work. Going into a job you hate will be worse if you get to the office feeling rushed, stressed and frazzled. Set aside some moments of solitude each morning. Develop a positive morning ritual. Treat yourself to a latte, get up early enough to read the paper, or just set your alarm to play upbeat music when you wake up. Improving your mornings can do wonders for your afternoons.

4. Create a diversion for yourself in the office. Does being in your office make you yearn for the outdoors? Are the incessant ringing phones driving you batty? Do something to brighten your mood while you're at work. Take in a tropical picture and use it as your screensaver. Buy yourself a "joke of the day" desk calendar. Plug headphones into your computer or bring your iPod to work. Go out for lunch.

5. Use your time to develop your skills. Hating your job doesn't mean you can't learn new skills. Use your time to make yourself a better candidate down the road. If your company offers training courses, take advantage of them. Use downtime to learn something new on your computer. Pick up a management development book and read it at lunch. Turn this job into an opportunity for self improvement.

6. Blow off some steam. Most people have an activity that helps them unwind and get rid of tension. Go for a run after work, go swimming on your lunch hour, or take a nice long walk. Put this time on your schedule so you will have something to look forward to every day.

7. Treat yourself. To make up for your office misery, find little ways of treating yourself. Buy a good book to read. Treat yourself to ice cream. Buy some flowers. Shop for a new interview suit. Plan your next vacation. Find out what makes you feel better inside, no matter what is going on outside.

8. Maintain your performance. It is important to continue to do your work and do it well, regardless of your current situation. Set personal performance goals. Then use the accomplishments in future interviews.

9. Keep your bridges intact. It really is a small world, and you never know when you will run into co-workers from your past. Don't burn any bridges at your company because you are unhappy. Maintain your contacts and keep your relationships on a positive note. You might just need a reference or a good word from one of your colleagues in the future.

10. Realize that this too shall pass. Right now, it might seem like you will be stuck in this job forever. Keep your chin up and remind yourself that you are in charge of your destiny. Search internal postings for new positions. Start your search for a new job externally.

By reading this email, everybody knows the SoB is an a$$hole. Kesiannya...

The SoB nak DI aku. Huahuhaua, who is he kidding? I'm sooo not guilty by not saving his a$$ I'm getting all the punishments? Not worth the trouble langsung. Thanks to him, the world is now a better place with a f*cker like that.

Dear Puan Nora,
Instruction for you to accompany SAINS representative was given by HR Manager himself (as communicated to you on 27 July 2006 ).
You at least MUST inform me ( before the meeting ) should you don't want to accompany them for whatever reasons, for me to find other staff as replacement. We have to unnecessarily s manage the consequences of the little mistake we made.
I am not pointing fingers to you or anybody but rather to take the above as lesson learnt for all of us that we SHOULD always follows our superior legal and official instruction (as whatever happened he / she will be accountable for it ). Insubordination and appropriate disciplinary action could be taken should we don't follow the instruction.
You have been on sick leave and emergency leave last Friday and yesterday of which I knew it from Cik B*bi and En H*sli Bujang respectively as you don't feel like to inform me though I am your Line supervisor.
I think it is not appropriate to accuse me of always pointing fingers at you , please.
Thank you

J*layhi Tani

Count Your Blessings!

Though work sux and people at work are giving me heart attack and rasing my BP and making me feel like $hit, but I am still blessed coz I can go home and have Ilham in my arms. Compared to the unfortunate mothers in the the other side of the world where their childrens are dead, killed by orang2 kafir laknatullah... I am still fortunate & blessed. Alhamdulillah.

Ilham...

Ilham,
mama took an EL yesterday coz I was worried about you. For the 2nd nights in a row, you woke up at 3 am and cried and tossed and turned and you were inconsolable. Mama and Papa were very sad to see you in that kind of condition sayang. I cried everytime you looked like you were in pain. How I wished I could take away your pain, sayang.. You only slept again at 7 am, and we took you to the Paed at 9.30am , you were given an antibiotic jab and you cried again. Your body temperature was fluctuating and all we could do was to try cheer you up, to reduce your body heat and to make you feel better.

I am so happy today that you finally managed to have a good interrupted sleep. And you are back to almost your jovial self by lunchtime today.

Thank God you answered my prayers.....
